New shipping options, tariffs information, and everything you need to know about shipping cute ceramics to your door this year.
Global trade is rocky, that’s a fact. There are reasons and explanations and stuff but here I’ll just clarify a few points related to my trade : shipping your favorite pottery to your place in the world.
I create, make, and ship cute pottery from Canada. This is a one person business located in Montréal, Québec. Shipping is worldwide with the lowest break rate ever (1 piece out of about 1200 shipped in 2025). This is why I can guarantee a safe arrival of your cute ceramics wherever you are.
Shipping to the USA and Tariffs
The situation is very spotty and evolves sometimes in a matter of hours. I will always try and find a way to ship your pieces without tariffs. At the moment, I’m shipping things slowly just to assess the situation – exactly as I did last year. Things will settle down but for now, please be patient.
Shipping to Europe and Canada Post
I used Canada Post to ship to Europe but since July 7th, new tariffs made them reconsider shipping to Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Luxemburg, Portugal and the Czech Republic. I offer two services instead :
- A regular tracked shipping that has no possibility of return but is cheaper,
- A UPS delivery that’s more expensive.
No possible return means that if you cannot get your package because of an error in address or something else it will be lost. There will be no insurance (none available) and no refund so that’s your choice. UPS is more expensive but it could ship a parcel back. However they famously lost me some big packages. Pick wisely I guess ^^ This is not a very commercial blog post but I’d rather be honest.
Oh and in Europe and most countries you may have to pay some custom fees, they replace the taxes that Canadians pay for example. It’s usually 15-20%.
I am following the situation closely and will reinstate Canada Post as soon as they sort themselves out – I thought they would have by now but XD
Alternative shipping options
Alternative shipping options would look like a vacation to Montréal, a delivery to someone you know in a neighboring country or anything you can figure out, I’m open to suggestions ^^
